Bought this for a replacement for my Giant Mtn. bike. I am not a rough/tough rider; more recreational. I was a little concerned because of the price vs. the quality... Well to my surprise it is working great and fit perfectly. I compared it to my friend's replacement seatpost which he paid double what I did and the Promax was just as good. The finish and machining/screws/connectors were fine.
A good buy for the money for a replacement post. Received it early too!

Bought this to replace a twenty-something year old seatpost because I needed more seat height. Easy to install and adjust and a great price for my old beater bike. Gloss black finish looks good.

This is a good replacement part for my old worn out seat post. It fit just right, right out of the box. Solid construction and it looks good. I looked at the higher priced "brand names", but for this price, it does the job just as well. Besides, they didn't have my size and the adapters are an extra cost I'm not going to mess with. This is just a basic bike part I would recommend for the occasional street/mountain trail rider, but if your into heavy downhill or cross country thrashing, maybe a heavy duty post would be better, but I would try this one first.

I purchased a bike online recently, and found the seatpost to be too short. Trouble is, the seatpost turned out to be 30mm, which isn't very common.
I looked around and found generally only overpriced high-end models were available in this size, until I checked Amazon on a hunch and found this Promax model.
When I received it, I was very impressed with the quality of the milled aluminum - it's just the simple single-bolt/pivot type, but way better than the stamped steel-headed seatpost that came with the bike. Frankly, if Promax can manufacture a seatpost of this quality (and in this range of sizes) and let it go for the $13 I paid, I can't figure out how any bike manufacterer has any excuse to put anything less on any bike. Whatever. Another point for Promax.

The Promax Alloy Seatpost works perfectly for my needs. I have an Ironhorse Aniki Mountain bike and needed an additional inch of extension for the seat. The Promax looks great and and provides an exceptional value at $13.00. Other seatposts cost upwards of $80.00.A no brainer for me.
