This bike is great. My daughter loved it. If it came with a bell and streamers it would have been perfect! The directions and assembly left a little to be desired but nothing huge.

The bike is very durable, easy to maneuver, and to assemble. The only flaws I find is that the hand brake is extremely hard to squeeze (I'm her dad and it takes a lot of effort for me!). The default pedal brakes are sufficient and my 5 year old quickly figured out how to brake by reversing the direction of her peddling. The other downside is its weight. I'd say easily 50 pounds of solid metal which is about the same weight of my adult graphite bike. But again, you are getting something very durable.

The bike was delivered in a box that was almost destroyed with big holes in it and tape barely holding it together. The bike itself was delivered with dirty handlebars, dents in the frame and missing parts for the hand brake. The back wheel was factory tightened out of alignment with the chain binding up when you crank the pedals. Part of the chainguard was rusted and appears to have been painted over to hide it. I have an above average skill level in mechanical items such as bikes, and if not for that, I would have not been able to give this bike to my daughter for Christmas morning. If you know how to disassemble and reassemble a bike and have extra parts in the garage or shed, you can have a ridable bike in about an hour. If you cannot, stay away from this product, as you will be extremely frustrated and probably end up returning it. The instructions are general instruction for other bikes and not specific to this bike either, so if you need instructions, you should not attempt to assemble this bike.
